NFL Week 7 Recap: They Flockin To The Window

Jarrid Kosa, Lunch Beers Podcast – Some of y’all must have been misbehaving last week, because there were some serious upsets in the NFL. The public faced significant losses in week 7, particularly on Monday night. The much-favored 49’ers, with 90% of bets on their side at -7.5, faced an outright loss to Kirk Kohls cash Cousins. To everyone’s surprise, Kriko tore apart the best defense in the NFL, garnering 378 air yards. The Buffalo Bills, anticipated victors at -8.5, were left shocked as Mac Jones and the Patriots disrupted the AFC East standings with a close 29-25 win.

But it wasn’t just about game outcomes. The Eagles secured their win amidst contentious calls, arguably one of the most disputed games in the NFL’s history. A staggering 10 penalties on the Dolphins, yet none on the Eagles? And let’s not get started on those missed calls, echoing the sentiments of many who cried foul.

Meanwhile, in the 4 pm window, controversy reigned supreme as Kenny Pickett seemed a full yard short of the first down on a 4th and 1. However, officials saw no need for a review, leading to cries of disbelief and accusations of bias.

While I could rant about my personal distaste for teams like the Steelers and the Eagles, I’ll focus on the brighter side of things. My recent trip to Baltimore saw the Ravens secure an astounding win against the Lions, a result many attributed to unfortunate circumstances for the latter. However, let’s not forget those standout plays by the Ravens that saw them dominate the field and stake their claim in the ongoing league.

Seeing the Ravens dominate in their home turf was a spectacle to behold. Despite the commendable turnout of Lions fans, the team’s performance couldn’t match the fervor of their supporters. Many questions arose: Can the Lions’ hype hold against top-tier defenses? How do the Ravens continue to deliver despite adversity?

With all said and done, my optimism for the Ravens remains high. Their convincing victory should serve as a momentum booster for upcoming matches. I’m keen to see their performance against the Cardinals, and I’m placing my bets on Odell marking his territory with a touchdown.

Cya next week.
